Amie Gordon

Amie Gordon is a doctoral candidate in social-personality psychology at UC Berkeley. Her main research interest is in understanding the processes that help and harm close relationships – focusing on three main areas of inquiry: 1) the roles that prosocial emotions, cognitions and behaviors play in helping relationships flourish; 2) whether having power over a partner influences relationship functioning; and 3) the impact of sleep on relationship functioning.

She works primarily with faculty members Serena Chen and Dacher Keltner. She received her M.A. in psychology from Berkeley and her B.A. in psychology from UCLA.
