Arthur Shimamura

Arthur Shimamura is a professor emeritus of psychology and of the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute. He studies the psychological and biological underpinnings of memory and movies. Shimamura's 2008 Guggenheim Fellowship led him to study links between art, mind, and brain. He is author of Experiencing Art: In the Brain of the Beholder (Oxford UniversityPress, 2013).
