Brian Carver

Before joining the Berkeley faculty, Brian Carver practiced law in a Silicon Valley-based law firm. Carver's research focuses on copyright law, open source and free software, and technology and innovation policy. He is interested in understanding the technical, economic, social, and legal frameworks that best promote progress and access to information. He is co-founder of Free Law Project, a non-profit that provides free access to primary legal materials, develops legal research tools, and supports academic research on legal corpora.
