Our cast of authors David Hollinger, professor of history David A. Hollinger is a professor of history at UC Berkeley who specializes in the intellectual and ethno-racial history of the United States since the Civil War. He is currently serving as president elect of the Organization of American Historians. His books include “Post-Ethnic America: Beyond Multiculturalism (3rd edition, 2006) and “Cosmopolitanism and Solidarity” (2006). His recent writings have been published in the journals, Daedalus, the London Review of Books, Representations, Callallo and the Journal of American Ethnic History. - More at
