Our cast of authors David Ragland, adjunct professor emeritus of epidemiology, School of Public Health David Ragland is an adjunct professor emeritus of epidemiology at the School of Public Health. In 2000, he founded the UC Berkeley Traffic Safety Center, now called the Safe Transportation Research and Education Center, which is an affiliate of the School of Public Health and the Institute of Transportation Studies. He has advised state and federal transportation agencies on issues of transportation safety, including collision analysis, data collection, safety for vulnerable populations and pedestrians and bicyclists. He has authored or co-authored more than 75 publications on health and safety especially in regard to traffic safety and occupational health and safety. He currently teaches courses on Injury Prevention and Control (School of Public Health), and Traffic Safety and Injury Control (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering). - More at
