Our cast of authors Gérard Roland, professor of economics and political science Gérard Roland is professor of economics and political science at UC Berkeley and chair of the campus’s Department of Economics. His expertise is in political economy, comparative economic analysis of institutions and reforms in post-socialist economies. He has been a regular consultant to the IMF, World Bank and EBRD in the last 15 years and has also consulted for the European Commission and the Inter-American Development Bank. He is editor of the Journal of Comparative Economics and his recent book Democratic Politics in the European Parliament received the Richard F. Fenno Prize for the Best Book Published in the Field of Legislative Studies during 2007. - More at
