Our cast of authors Junko Habu, professor, anthropology Junko Habu is a professor of anthropology whose research focuses on environmental anthropology, particularly food diversity, mobility and long-term culture change in prehistoric and historic societies in East Asia. She was born and raised in Japan, and received her Ph.D. from McGill University in Canada. She is currently on sabbatical and was at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies in Hayama in Kanagawa Prefecture when the earthquake struck. - More at
