Our cast of authors Stephen Vaisey, assistant professor of sociology Stephen Vaisey is an assistant professor of sociology at UC Berkeley. The main goal of his research is to understand the different ways that culture shapes cognition, judgment, and action. His current project is an investigation of the moral culture of the Millennial generation. The study follows members of "Generation Y" over a six year period in order to understand how different senses of right and wrong and different imaginations of "the good life" develop and subsequently shape the transition from adolescence to young adulthood. He has previously published research on the effects of educational overqualification, the role of moral order in 1970s communes, and the influence of large and small social structures on genetic expression. His work has been published in the American Sociological Review, the American Journal of Sociology, and elsewhere. - More at
