Emily Eisner
Doctoral student in economics
Emily Eisner is a doctoral student in UC Berkeley's Department of Economics. Her research interests lie in macroeconomics and public economics. Eisner studied math at Dartmouth College and worked in New York City and at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for two years before moving to Berkeley to start graduate school in 2016. She is the editor for the news/blog section of the Women in Economics at Berkeley (WEB) website (calwomenofecon.weebly.com). WEB is an organization that brings together the community of women studying economics at the graduate level. It aims to help find solutions to the problems relating to retaining women from their entry into an economics Ph.D. program to their completion of the Ph.D. and full professorship.
