Harry Kreisler

Harry Kreisler is a visiting scholar and former executive director of UC Berkeley’s Institute of International Studies. From 2002 to 2007, he taught "Issues in Foreign Policy after 9/11," an undergraduate course that was open to the public as a lecture series. At IIS, Kreisler administered academic and public-affairs programs on global issues. He also taught a course on U.S. foreign-policy challenges for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Kreisler is the creator, executive producer and host of Conversations with History, a program in which he interviews public figures about their lives, work and ideas. He has conducted more than 600 interviews since the show first aired in 1982. Kreisler's book Political Awakenings (2010) chronicles the ethical and political development of some of his most memorable interviewees.
