Scott Swartz is an MD/MS candidate at the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program (JMP) in the class of 2020/2023. He is interested in how social, structural, and environmental determinants of health interact with one another and influence perinatal health outcomes and early childhood development. He is also a member of the JMP’s chapter of Students for a National Health Program (SNaHP), which advocates for adoption of a single-payer, universal health care system in the U.S.
