Wadim Strielkowski

Professor of Economics, Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley

Wadim Strielkowski is a Professor at Prague Business School, an Assistant Director of the Centre for Energy Studies there, and a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ARE) at UC Berkeley. Previously, he worked as an Research Associate at the Energy Policy Research Group, University of Cambridge (2016-2017), an Assistant Professor at the Charles University (2008-2015), a Senior Research Fellow at the Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, a Deputy Director for Development at CERGE-EI Prague, a Vice-Chancellor of the College of Economics and Management in Prague, and a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham. He has authored and co-authored more than 150 academic publications in international peer-reviewed journals and is one of the most-cited Czech economists. Professor Strielkowski is an expert on scientometrics and bibliometrics. He often writes on the present, past, and future of academic publishing, peer-review systems, academic piracy, and “black lists.” Moreover, he likes to explore the "supernatural side" of economics.
